popular book came out in 1976 and remained in
print until 1999. It had two re-printings as
late as 1992! Such a long print-run is rare
for educational books.
The
book is illustrated by Leslie S. Haywood and
has plenty of photographs, drawings, maps and
diagrams. The subject matter is directed at
slightly older pupils than the earlier books
with an emphasis on follow up reading and research.
